The restaurant Le Vin des Pyrénées (literally the wine from the Pyrenees) is a short distance from the Bastille in the famous Marais area of Paris. It is in fact an old wine cellar that has been turned into a bistro. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming with wooden benches and walls covered in old postcards. The clientele is a bohemian mixture of locals and artists with the occasional famous face making an appearance. The food is typical French bistro fare served with large helpings.
