Several years ago Italian chef Mauricio Olivieri discovered a beautiful spot for a restaurant in the Port of Andratx on the island of Mallorca. Seeing the result one can appreciate how his gastronomic dream has been fulfilled. Moderno has been a great success, so much so that it can be difficult to get a table particularly at weekends. The dishes are sophisticated with a strong Italian influence and meticulous presentation. The restaurant occupies a typical Mallorcan house that has been completely refurbished maintaining many of the original features including high ceilings, arches, a leafy terrace...
