Situated on the Devon Cornish boarder in the Lydford House Hotel, La Cascata is a family-run Italian restaurant spread over three elegant dining rooms, including a conservatory with terrace and a roaring log fire in winter. The menu is Classic Italian food and wine with starters such as Bruschette Miste (£4.50) and Antipasto Misto (£6.50). The Pasta and Risotto Menu offers Tagliatelle al Ragu (£9.50), chunks of fillet steak in a ragu sauce, for vegetarians there's Wild Mushroom and Saffron Risotto (£10.60) and for seafood lovers Spaghetti with Clams, Prawns and Squid (£13.60). Mains include Veal Escalope with a Mushroom and White Wine sauce (£13.20) and Fillet Steak with a Gorgonzola Sauce (£15.80).
