The Barocco is a wonderful Italian restaurant within the Hotel Evergreen Lauren nestled in the pedestrian Georges Pompidou Square in Levallois on the outskirts of Paris. Claudio Puglia is the maestro here, passionate about food he has created a cosy but refined restaurant with wonderful velour banquettes, black and white Italian films projected on the walls and a large sunny terrace in the summer.

There is a great choice of anti pasti, meats and desserts. Try the parma ham on the bone with seasonal fruits, the classic spaghetti bolognaise or the vegetarian version. The fish and risotto dishes are also worth trying and there is a wonderful range of desserts from the traditional tiramisu to the lemon cream dessert with crunchy lemon biscuits. ...weniger bearbeiten
